Caccio e Pepe Oatmeal
Struggling to find filling and savory breakfast fare, I turned to an Italian classic to give the ol' porridge a twist.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons old fashioned oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
- 1-2 teaspoons grated parmesan or more!
- Lots of black pepper to taste
- 1-2 teaspoons olive oil
Instructions
- Mix oatmeal and ground flax seeds in a small bowl. Add water just to cover. Microwave approximately 90 seconds or until prefered doneness, making sure to stop and stir halfway through cooking.
- Top oatmeal with black pepper, parmesan and drizzle of olive oil.
- To add protein, could add fried/scrambled/boiled or poached egg, or other protein like prosciutto. Could also add fresh arugula, avocado, tomato or other veg of choice.
