DAY 3. Your Process

Yesterday we figured out when you’re going to review your meal plan and do your shopping.

Today we get into the really fun stuff.

Here we go!

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN TODAY:

How to use the meal plans.

How to use the Meal Plans

1. Logon and go to the ‘Meal Plans‘ page.

2. Choose either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere plan for the correct season.

3. Scroll down to the ‘Save to my Collections’ Button.

4. Save the plan to your collection!

5. Open the plan from your collections and edit it to suit your week. Adjust the number of servings. Delete recipes. Add recipes. Add notes.

6. Click on the ‘shopping list button’ then click on ‘regenerate shopping list’ to save your changes.

7. Edit the shopping list as needed.

I just keep the shopping list page open on my web browser in my phone and shop from there. Or print the shopping list.

Or save the link below the shopping list to share it with someone else.

ACTIVITY

STEP 1. During the time you scheduled (from yesterdays lesson) go to the meal plans page.

STEP 2. Save + edit your meal plan and shopping list.

STEP 3. Get your ingredients and have fun in the kitchen!

Tomorrow we’re going to be looking at your shopping list.

Have fun in the kitchen!

With love,
Jules x

  • Going well Jules. Really trying to focus on eating fresh food and knowing when I’ve had ‘enough’. That’s a tough one. For me!

    • Excellent Sophie! With stopping when you’ve had enough – remember it’s a new skill you’re learning so there are meant to be ups and downs –

Instead of thinking ‘this is a tough one for me’ – play around with some different thoughts – ‘it’s possible for me to learn this’ or ‘I’m getting better at this’ – your thoughts about the new skill are key

  • This is really helpful, I will have a look and make some plans for my next shopping thank you

  • Hi Jules, I appreciate the small bites and going step by step. All is clear and well in my kitchen. My Utah guy–I told him what you said and it is true–hears your voice on the video and says, Hi Jules!

Planning day is Friday. I’m fine with waiting until Friday because many things are grabbing me now. In the back of my mind, I’m wondering how to add my other items, breakfast things, etc. to the list but I’m not going to think about that today. Friday’s my time to worry about that! XX

    • Love that you’re not worrying about things until your designated time Gay 🙂

You can add notes to the meal plans (after you save them to your collections). And you can also edit the shopping lists – just shout if you need help with it.

  • The planning part is going smooth. Just realized I can also view the meal plans on the member side of your app, which is great! I already have a good working shopping list on the Listronic app that I use that your shopping list will incorporate with very well. Still need more practice on the tech side. Was able to add the cauliflower taco bowls (last week’s plan) and the saag chicken (this week’s plan) to my inbox and print a combined shopping list, so am feeling pretty good about it overall.

  • I am currently working on my shopping list, and it is driving me nuts, trying to figure out how much cabbage to buy, how much broccoli to buy, because I’m using them in multiple recipes. I use the Paprika 3 app, which has all my recipes and works for meal planning as well as shopping. The one thing I would warn everyone about is, check your list multiple times before shopping. My husband routinely forgets to put ground beef on his list when he’s making spaghetti, and I know I have similar issues. So sanity checks are definitely in order.

  • So how am I going? Finished.

I mean it is Wed. Planning day is Sunday. But I couldn’t wait. Next week is sorted.

In fact I think we might have the feta bowls tomorrow.

    Winning.

    • Sorry Nicole!

You need to save the recipe to your personal favourite collection first. There’s an ‘add to my collections’ button after the list of recipes.

And then when it’s in there you can open and add recipes, delete recipes and add notes.

Best to check out the training videos on the help page – they will show you better than me typing!

  • Planning and shopping this week worked well. I’ll use the system again for the next week. Thanks for describing different options – it helps me remember to remain flexible and find what will work best.
