Pear & Nutella

Total Time 2 minutes
Servings 2 people

Ingredients

  • 1 pear
  • 2-3 tablespoons nutella

Instructions

  • Slice pear in half lengthwise. Then slice into quarters and cut out the seeds. Slice each quarter into 2-3 slivers. So you have 9-12 slices of pear in total.
  • Spread a little nutella on the end of each slice. Enjoy!

Variations & Substitutions

pantry-friendly – pears will keep in the fridge for months so it’s pretty much a pantry snack.

lower carb – use celery or carrot sticks instead of pear and replace nutella with peanut butter or almond butter.

crunchy – sprinkle over chopped roast nuts. Hazelnuts are particularly delicious.

nut-free – replace nutella with tahini or cream cheese or ricotta and a drizzle of honey.

different fruit / vegetables – apples, strawberries, raspberries, celery, carrots are all great! And for you weird people who think orange and chocolate go together (my Irishman agrees with you) – knock yourselves out with some fresh orange.

Waste Avoidance Strategy

pears – will keep for weeks (if not months) in the fridge.

nutella – keep it in the pantry.

Prepare Ahead

No. Unfortunately the pear will brown.
