A Kir Royal is a great way to use up any less than perfect tasting sparkling wine or Champagne that you may have lying around the house.

serves as many as you like
sparkling white wine or Champagne
creme de cassis (black currant liqueur)

Place about 1/2 teaspoon of creme de cassis in the base of a champagne flute.

Top with sparkling wine or Champagne and taste, adding more creme de cassis if required.
