You could make this ahead and keep in the freezer if you like. Just soften before serving.

variations for dietary requirements:

dairy free / vegan – If you are into soy yoghurt you could freeze about a cup in some in ice cube trays then soften and puree with a couple of bananas. Add sugar if needed.

troubleshooting guide:

cream too icy – Allow to soften in the fridge for 15 minutes or so.

lumpy– Some yoghurts can be less than smooth. Try a different brand next time or just think if it as rustic.

serving suggestions

This is a great alternative to vanilla ice cream. It’s also delish on its own.

leftover potential:

Best eaten withing 24 hours of making. But it will keep in the fridge for a month or so. Just remember to allow it to soften at room temperature for 15 minutes or so before serving.
