Maximising Pleasure

TASTING EXERCISE:
Pretend you’re in a new body that has never had alcohol before.
Experiencing it for the first time.
Approaching with curiosity + fascination.
Look >> colour / shine / clarity / viscosity
Swirl your glass.
Close eyes (if you want)
Smell >> aroma – what am I noticing here?
Small Sip >> flavour / mouthfeel. What am I noticing?
Swallow >> is there an after taste?
Smell again >> aroma – what am I noticing here?
Bigger Sip >> flavour / mouthfeel. what am I noticing?
How am I feeling now?

Repeat as you keep drinking and for every new drink.

CURIOUS QUESTION:

When does the most true fun happen for you?

Your Future Self Exercise

Pretend it’s January 2024.
We’ve waved a magic wand and you have the exact relationship with alcohol that you’ve dreamed of.
What is that like?
What are you noticing?
How are you feeling?
How often are you drinking?
Get really specific –
What exactly are you noticing when you get up in the morning?
What are you noticing when you go to bed at night?
What do you want to call your new self? Future Me? Intentional Booze Hound?

EXERCISE: Set a timer for 5 minutes and free write using the prompts above to get you started.
